Ruwan Mahindapala is a Sri Lankan artist who has earned a reputation for his enchanting paintings, which reveal a distinctively local ambience. Using watercolours, acrylics and oils, he has painted a wide array of paintings, including river scenery, village life, paddy fields, railtracks, quaint buildings and ancient ruins.
He has always been inspired by nature, and tries to capture its pristine beauty to display to the entire world.
Ruwan’s aim is to depict nature in its unspoiled state through his artistic vision, so that even future generations can experience it despite the effects of modernization, which is rapidly ruining such places.
